San Leandros Sim

I have to divulge the first time I happened upon this sim was through a freebie notice. Which I never did get, because I got to entranced by the lovely setting off to the left from the central teleportation point. So, while chatting with some new fellow I morphed into a mermaid and planted myself in the lovely little pond and took a couple of pictures until that devilishly beautiful Ofelia distraceted me with stories of her shopping withdrawl blues and we attacked the Prim & Proper sale and spent the day goofing off.

But, today I loged in to the reception of a little note from Helena Compton about her store on the San Leandros sim and a dollarbie bag available there. She sent me a sample and I have to say, thanks! I love that it has a pose and it is a good one. The texture is chic and the product appears well made. So here I find myself hooked like a fish wandering around San Leandros all thanks to the bella Helena grazie. =)


Since the tp point for San Leandros Park sim is set I'm going to include the cooridinates for the products within the sim. Here's some of what I found:

All the skins worn are from the Stellar Designs Valentine Day Heart Hunt $1 each- there are male skins in this hunt to - go here to take a look at all the skins. Stellar Designs (3 stores - female, costumes, & male) has a lot of items from my brief scroll over I saw fat packs from $2000 to socks $45/pair all items were no transfer and there's a lot to look at here.

All hairs worn are from Bewitched Hair. Bewitched Hair offers several styles for $1/5 color pack- in it's clearance section for both male and female avatars. Clearance prices are $99/color pack. Regular Hair prices are $195/color pack; $750/everything pack. Bewitched also has frequent secret sales when hair packs are marked down from the regular price of $195 to either $100 or $50 and also 10 packs which are $1. All hair is no transfer.

All shoes worn are from previously blogged ADA Store. Everything here sculpty shoes, skins, eyes, & accessories are all free ($0) and no transfer.

Eyes worn are from Inspired Kawaii Fashion & accessories. Variety of goods from full avatars to furniture, freebie ($0-$1) area, discount area, male friendly hats $10-$450 and permissions varies, accessories/clothing being transferable and skins/eyes/hair no transfer.

She's a Lady

There are tons of styles available in sl, but not all measure up to the modest standards a lady must uphold. If you're looking for some direction on how to find inexpensive lady like clothing I hope the following suggestions help out.

A variety of skins can be used and Another Skins are all offered for $0 and come in a variety of skin tones suitable for most anyone. You can even download the Another Skin pdfs and modify the skins if you'd like here. If you're looking for striking red lips might I suggest the $1 Jezbel skins from Soda.

Two hairs that particularly inspire the kittenish vibe are offered at Marlys for $1 each: Leaf's Trajectory and and Tatyana Take Away. The Retro Betty Pillbox Hat with hair can be found at SoulFire for $1. Gurlywood has one hair for $0 found in the clearance section, Season, that is the cutest little bun. There are also a number of hairstyles offer for $1 at the Gurl 6 Hair store. If unrefined and edgy is more your style then perhaps trying a short style like the Beginning Hair from Find Ash is more your style. $0

Clothing can be found at a variety of places, but the following stores have graceful options that will definetly be a hit. Bossa Nova offers the Lucia dress in a black and white for $0. Ivalde has a section upstairs 'Almost Free Stuff' with outfits and shirts ranging from $0-$1. Less than three Cupcake has 3 dresses near the front entrance; two are especially suited for the refined lady. $0 Ingenue offers a variety of clothing (including dresses) for between $1 and $0. A Free Top that is especially sweet can be found at Kurotsubaki $0. The Steamstress offers a variety of no transfer goods; mostly steampunk inspired, but all very classic in inspiration. There is a wall of freebies which include: Shirt, pants and shirt set, underwear set, jacket and hat. There is also a tache (moustache) over by the accessories. And at the time of writing there is also a underwear set Patience which is available for $0 located on one of the building supports. Tete a Pied (TAP) has two goodies on their train one is a suit: the other is a pair of gloves (in 3 lengths) essential for the proper lady$0.

SKGShoes has 6 pairs of shoes: 3 white, 3 blue $1 each- these are a great height and the the open toed and peep toed styles are reminiscent of times when a lady was a lady. Besides offering 4 boxes of shoes for $1 each She's So Unusual Shoes offers a very nice animation overide for $1 located on the wall above the $1 shoes.

Accessories can be found in a variety of places, but the two following places have a lot more to offer than just the few pieces I used here. Sh*t Happens has a nice Freebie Accessories $0 which includes a divine colorable pearl necklace among many other extras. MoonCat has a lot of freebies and dollarbies, but what will be of special intrest to any refined lady is the mini hat, mari brooch, and leather gloves all $0.




I hope you find these suggestions helpful in your search for lady like styles in sl. =) On a side note all the skirts seemed not to be tinted gray. If you make prim attachments for dresses they often times will NOT match the shirt of glitchpants (non-prim pieces) unless the attachments are tinted the default lightest shade of gray. So please tint your prim pieces gray or at the very least make ALL your prim pieces MODIFY!

The *New* Orientation Station

So, does anyone know what's up with the new orientation stations??? Boy, have they changed!

There's one for a couple of movies coming out:
#1 Beowulf:



You'll find shirts and pants for both male and female avatars. And also a Beowulf avatar for guys.

#2 I AM LEGEND!!! This orientation center is great! (And the best thing about it is ZOMBIES! Ok, ok they call them infected, but whatever. We all know they are ZOMBIES.)



If you're not new and going to check out an orientation center; this is the one! If you go through the complete orientation from the beginning you'll be pleasantly surprised.

There is a unisex outfit which includes prim shoes! And not only is there a white skin, but also a black skin. Yay! Someone noticed ethnic diversity. These skins are nice, too!

Ok, so you skipped the orientation bit, because you're not new. I can understand, but you still won't be left out. There are 4 uninfected humans and a police dog avatar. Or if you decide to be an infected you can choose from an infected skin or an infected dog avatar. Yay, Zombies!

And, there's more *if you want to join the fun you can play either an infected/uninfected on the adjoining sims. Just pick up the hud (and weapons if you're uninfected) and follow the arrows over the bridge.

Ok, so you're cup of tea isn't movies. How about TV CSI:NY has an orientation station.... ok, I won't go on about this one. Here's the pic:



Well, there's the pic of the last board I touched. I completed the orientation station and all I got was a lousy badge. LOL (If you do happen to wander down to Fashion Avenue you'll have better luck finding clothes. A male and female outfit should have been closer to the orientation point, guys.)

You'll find skins, prim shoes, clothes, and the first appearance of a flexi dress here!

What about sports? Well, the NBA has a really great orientation station with the most diverse group of human avatars I've seen yet. And I have to say this group is the best looking, too!

Token Sim

If this has passed you by then you'll defiantly want to stop and take a gander at this sim. Token (Token sim) has a number of excellent outfits for women complete with jewelry, shoes, and POSES. The guys have a choice of two judo suits each with a unique pose, both excellently shaded with prim attachments. And there are also 3 cute mascots- for girls or guys. Simply fly or walk around and touch the cutouts on the pedestals and you'll receive the outfit pictured. You'll want to fly around the whole sim as there are TWO levels of buildings with these cutouts. Not all the outfits available here are pictured.



The skin used is from Char's SHOP (uemachi 37,110,29) blogged about below. The hairs are from Tekuteku (Shinjuku 72,154,22) which has 2 female hairs , 1 male - $1 each (Hairs $200/3color pack , $1 demos).

(This is the wall that has a huge SALE sign on the top of the wall not the wall with hairs with sale signs on the individual packs. This new pack shows the 3 styles in it and is located next to the "$1" sign.) The new $1 pack of hair has 3 different styles of hair in it (3 in 1).
