I got a notecard (thanks for the notecard!) from Trinity Outlander and decided to check out her suggestion - Frick. It just so happens that {Frick} (Blackmount (98, 137, 64) is having a skin hunt, but it ends today so run there NOW! 5 eggs are hidden around filled with female skins in addition to a couple free on the wall to the right when entering the store. The hunt ends today (25 March). Finally reasonably priced Another Shop mods starting at $10 - $99/four pack. I'd love to see some darker shades in these!!! ($0)

Star Kissed Skin

ColeMarie Soleil has done it again!!! She has ushered in the new year by generously providing a beautiful Unseelie Night Pixie skin.



The skins is a beautiful gray blue hue. It is perfect for those naughty pixies that enjoy playing their devilishly pranks when less likely seen. (If you haven't checked out ColeMarie's flickr, please do. She has the ad used in the display at her store in her feed.)



You can tell that the highlights and shading are excellent and the skin has been kissed by the night sky leaving stars trailing about on the skin.

Token Sim

If this has passed you by then you'll defiantly want to stop and take a gander at this sim. Token (Token sim) has a number of excellent outfits for women complete with jewelry, shoes, and POSES. The guys have a choice of two judo suits each with a unique pose, both excellently shaded with prim attachments. And there are also 3 cute mascots- for girls or guys. Simply fly or walk around and touch the cutouts on the pedestals and you'll receive the outfit pictured. You'll want to fly around the whole sim as there are TWO levels of buildings with these cutouts. Not all the outfits available here are pictured.

Ultimate Heroes

If you haven't stumbled upon Dai Motava's Ultimate Heroes in sl please go and check the costumes out. They are amazingly textured and totally free. If you appreciate Dai's efforts don't forget to leave him a donation in one of his tip jars. Not only are these outfits available in world here, here, here, and here. They are also available from On Rez and SL Exchange.

Dai bases his avatars off of the Japanese Ultimate Heroes. So, I'm wondering does anyone know if the Ultimate Heroes is like the U.S.'s Ultimate Alliance? If so, maybe we can expect a Jean Grey/Marvel Girl Av. in the future? A girl can be hopeful, right?

Ninja Iga

Today the Ninja Iga sim opened up (official website here). It is a Japanese orientation point, but some of the instructions are in English- so feel free to explore a bit. If you do complete the orientation and solve the puzzle you'll recieve a pretty cool ninja outfit ($0).



I opted to wear my own shape with the outfit, but a male shape, and also a cool ninja hud is included. There's also a female version ($0), but....

The Free Fandom Project

Wow, way back at the beginning of January Imp Merlin told me to check out Lippert 160, 111, 171. In Lippert you'll find one of the places where you can obtain a number of the Free Fandom Project avatars and accessories based on characters from movies, television shows, and books. I took a picture of a very small selection of the outfits I found at the original Lippert coordinates and another distribution center at the Boxed Heroes Main Shop. The article written in the Second Life Herald about the Free Fandom Project listed additional distribution sites if you scroll to the very bottom of their piece. (All $0)





The Hermine Granger outfit did not include hair so I used the freebie ($1) Lily hair from ETD. I also added hair and shoes to the Galaxy Quest outfit: hair- Lisa II (sale ends tomorrow! $25) ETD and shoes- Plum Diamante Platform Shoe by Chrissy Ambrose were part of a discontinued freebie that was available at Phat Cat's Jazzy Blue Lounge.

OMFG Dollarbies Gallore

If you haven't checked out OMFG (Nerdagara Falls 211,104,265) you should! There are tons of pieces here and they could have endless applications (post apocalyptic, steam punk, neko, etc.). You'll find 5 full body suit/armors, many individual pieces of armor, weapons, wings, chokers, and boots to name a few. Everything is laid out and easy to view and all boxes are just $1 each. Here are a couple of the outfits along with the assassins armor that I threw on to give you guys a sampling:







Underneath everything I created a shirt and pants. Simply open inventory, select create from the top menu of your inventory, create a shirt and a pants, wear both, go into appearance and tint both the pant and shirt black.

Ending at 9 pm tonight (Saturday 9 pm slt) is the Prim & Proper ( Shengri La 90/77/25) sale. You'll find tons of stuff for the Ladies and a nice assortment of period accessories for the Gents. All sale proceeds are going Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. Most items are $100 and under! From the Prim & Proper group announcement:

The ringlet hair style comes in brunette and platinum. Tons of hats are in the folder you'll receive and I'd venture that a guy would look dashing in the musketeer hat. You'll also receive the fox stole, hat, & muff combination which is the only ensemble I modeled with one of the new demo hairs from Bewitched (Lemon Island 83/200/28). You can pick this hair up along with two of the latest styles for free next to any of the new hairs. And if you prefer the House of Heart textures don't forget to visit there also for the free wearable demos (Remember look for the hairs marked with the sparkling "New" signs and look for the small picture of all the new styles. The new release small picture will contain the demos). And the skin is from A Piece of Candy (Immintel (160, 180, 100), which you can find for $1 along with an all new black diamond hunt going on this week.

The dress modeled with the above gifts (and pictured below) is a lucky chair win available at Crimson Shadow (Crimson Shadow Rezzable (189, 182, 27) designed by Draconic Kiss. The unisex skin is also from Crimson Shadow and is $100, all the vampire & bloody skins are on sale until the 22nd. The hair is the Una new release from Bewitched and the shoes are from *TVT* blogged in the entry below this one. *TVT* has a free female updo hairstyle out too.

Another store I stumbled across this week was Made for You (Ichoen (75, 52, 58) which offered some goodies for guys and girls! You'll find a unisex freebie box on the table as you enter and the dress is near the entry of a side space which has dresses. You'll also find two lucky chairs here!





The updo is the *TVT* freebie hair and the short hairstyle is from Bewitched's clearance area which has a ton of $1 hairstyles like the one above.

Even Faeries Get the Blues........

Unfortunately it's sad, but true...........





Fortunately for us, when fairies get the blues there's a nice skin out there thanks to Faerie Hax that let's us express ourselves. ($0)





Here's the lowdown on the look so you to may achieve it: Flexified Butterfly Wings from Toya can be found on the LicoLico Sim. ($1) The silks are a combination of two free silks offered at Collar Me Sexy both $0. The hair is from Frangipani Hair and cost $1. (There are now 4 -$1 fat packs of hair offered here along with 60 minute camping for hair.) The eyes are from the Basic Eye Megapack found on the freebie wall at the NEW TALISMAN store located on the Talisman Sim. (Can you tell I'm excited that they're back.) I also used the Mixed Butterfly Emitter both are priced $0 on the Freebie wall that includes tons of stuff for $0-$1. And one last picture (zzzzzzz) for those who get confused by backgrounds and WindLight.

Ello Dahli

I found a couple of Indian themed freebies to share. While the skin is a deal at $50, it doesn't get my whole hearted approval. The eyelash area has a weird halo around the eyelash area - you will only see this if you zoom in close to look at your face. I have the lighter of the two tones offered at GiGi Couture (Broadmead (53, 190, 34). But, if you can live with the halo then you like me can wear it for novelties sake. However, if you can't deal with a bit of halo - skip this skin.



The hair was a freebie from the Amorepacific Islands (AMOREPACIFIC 4 78/168/66), however the hair section is being remodeled and will reopen on the 18th. The jewelry and outfit are from a cute little store filled with entirely free clothes (for guys & girls), furniture, pets, and jewelry - Yak & Yeti (Salzburg 172/79/27). The jewelry set that I'm wearing is the Bollywood set and it is beautiful. Not pictured, but also free at Taste of India (Odessa Charming 198/79/21)is a set of bindis (5-$0).

Costumes!

I was hopping around a couple of places trying to help a new guy find some armor and rp stuff and spotted some new to me freebies.



First stop was the Free Fandom Project (Lippert 160, 111, 171). Although we didn't spot the armor that I had previously blogged about here. We did find an awesome Sweeny avatar. I'm not wearing the shape included with the avatar, but it is a guy's av ^.^. ($0, m/f)




Next we headed off to a couple of the Ultimate Hero (Simpkins 137/242/55) stores and found an outfit for GIRLS!!! I'm not sure who exactly Jill is, but I love her outfit! I'm wearing skin from Spirit (Plush Tau 41, 14, 28), catch the info on either of the two previous posts and hair from Free Speerit(Quest III 155, 150, 22 - rush to get this one). (Ultimate Hero costumes $0 m/f, Spirit skin $1/2 pack f, Free Speerit hair $0 f)



Ok, so two strikes the last and final stop (for this post ;) ) did yield him an excellent set of armor and there was also a complete female warrior with skin, hair, and animation overide available (pictured above). The quality on these two offerings from Boxed Heroes (Plush Epsilon 58/57/22) is amazing! ($0 m/f)

Hamming it up in TV Station Sim

If you guys haven't checked out some of the Japanese sims you really should. You will find that the designers are often less ($$$) than English speaking sims and very nice quality. They also know how to enjoy a GAME and often have wonderful freebies out or just things that are good for the lollers!

Earlier today I was exploring a store named Non-Standard on one of the Japanese sims. I really like this store, because not only do they have awesome freebies, but most things are $20 or less (with the exception of skins which are very reasonable at $600). So here is a picture of all the freebies:

Skins, outfits, toys; located both upstairs and downstairs. There are also some great Chirstmas goodies here for $5-10.

As I walked out of non-standard I'd noticed a sign for a TVStation Sim. Well, I've never seen an sl tv station and decided to check it out:



Find the elevator and take it to the exhibition level. You'll notice the space suit is on sale for $5 and there is a complete free female avatar (skin, hair, shape, suit, bag)

After I visited the exhibition I took a stroll through the adjacent sim Machinima and checked out all the different sets available. If you haven't taken a profile picture maybe one of these backdrops will appeal to you. =) Enjoy the pictures and have fun getting acquainted with your SL.
