Distraction Faction

I only did the first 102 of the Go Fly A Kite hunt. I really planned on skipping this one (because I'm sick), but since I had a couple of request for help here's my tips: Do not do this hunt with people around (especially chatty ones). Do not wear any huds (mysti for example) that add to chatter in your general chat window. Instead of placing the landmark to the next location inside the prize folder the slurl to the next location will be dispersed via open chat. Anytime you want to take a break from the hunt tp to the next location and make a landmark. Yes, this means you'll have to keep your general chat window open the entire hunt or open it and close it each and every (238) time you touch a kite. I found the kites relatively easy to find and I'd highly recommend joining the associated group and only asking if you really need help, because they do tend to be very blunt if they feel you are asking too frequently. The Freebie Dungeon

The Freebie Dungeon is one of those places that is a little overwhelming to new citizens in second life, but I highly encourage you to take the leap and look around this place. Not only are their 100s of free things, there are also some great deals!!!!



Along with all the free ($0L) items there are information hubs that offer helpful tips and information for newer citizens. You can also find some great deals like the box of full-permission suits for men for a mere $10L, a business suit and briefcase for $1L, silks for $5L, prim shoes for $1L or the numerous boxes of ladies clothes for $1L that line the walls.



This place has tons of stuff: textures, hair, avatars, eyes, clothes, flexi-dresses, shoes, purses, hats, costumes, buildings, furniture, gadgets, guns, art, and a few that I am sure that I have overlooked.

P.S. Those of you with male avatars might be interested to know that when I was trying to find out who runs the freebie warehouse I looked up " Lag Designs " since it appears in the description of the land location. Upon entering the store I spotted 6 hairs that are being discontinued from the store and are all up for $0L purchase. ;) At one point I knew who ran the dungeon and had sent in a box of freebies, but now I can't figure out who it is. Does anyone have a clue? edit: Duh... It just occurred to me to see who created all the prims in the dungeon. Nikko, Westys, RAC, & South Blue Cafe

Yes, a bit of total randomness in the midst of the never ending Valentine's slue of freebies. This is one I hope you don't miss since this hair comes with a hefty price tag -- RAC (http://slurl.com/secondlife/RaC%20City/101/121/26) has decided to give a fatpack of it's love affair hair for $0 for Valentine's Day so rush there and get it! Wandering around one day I happened upon the Nikko (http://slurl.com/secondlife/nikko%20am/94/113/27) I'm not quiet sure exactly what the sim is, but there were several shirts and a suitcase there all for $0. There is also some sort of game there where you heard chicks (yes, baby chickens) around, but I can't figure it out. Maybe you'll have better luck. =D



After finding this I tped to another sim to check out

Choose from two different types. Type A will have you resting on a bed, and with Type B, you're seated on a chair. Whichever you pick, you will be moving and not in a static pose.

Each type includes AFK and regular versions of the hut. The hut attaches to your left pec by default. For best results, turn off your AO.

The candle works. Touch it a couple times when you first wear it. Then try not to keep doing that because you are mesmerized. Heck, for all I know, you get a wish every time you snuff it out. WORTH A TRY.

These huts are copy/mod. Make a copy of the original (just in case) and mod to your heart's content! Maybe you want new wallpaper. Maybe you wanna add a pig. Go wild and personalize your hut!

It's that weird sort of year when it's still a bit cold, but everyone is thinking ahead to spring. I put together an outfit that gives just a hint of spring thanks to the strawberry skirt from Feather:

If you haven't checked out the Glamour Expo - Where have you been? Yes, most of the booths are for women, but I did spy a couple of great booths for guys only! Needless to say I took a break from my Wine Weekend and snapped some snazzy pics =P of Glam girl on the loose...... (F; $1-0/dress; http://slurl.com/secondlife/VANITY%20UNIVERSE/135/120/601)



You'll notice the two skins (on either side) are low lag, but high on Glam! These are a must for any Glam girl who wants to visit expos or hunts. You'll find all of the above at Lemania Indigo's booth.

Not all offerings are gowns, Sparkle Skye Designs offered the above outfit and also the pink hair used in all photos.



The above dress from VictoriaV is sure to make any glamourpuss happy.

There are tons of outfits for $1, but you'll also find a couple of vendors have additional sales. So head over to the Glamour Expo! But, I'm pooped......
